BFARM

The Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) is the German National Competent Authority (NCA) responsible for authorisation of medicinal products, the authorisation and surveillance of narcotics and the risk surveillance of medicinal products and medical devices. Our task is to ensure that both the individual patient and healthcare professionals have access to safe and effective medicinal products and to provide the necessary information for this to the public.
