Technology assessment (HTA) plays an increasing role in decision-making in product development, licencing, pricing and reimbursement. It provides a forum for cooperation between German and African partners and for networking between experts from industry (medicines, medical devices and diagnostics), academia, funders/payers, health technology assessment agencies, government officials, consumers (patient organisations), young scientists and students.
The workshop’s panels tackle some of the most relevat issues in the field of health economics and health systems strengthening with a particular focus on the role of HTA:
• Health technology assessment (HTA) in health systems strengthening
• Trends and methods in health economics
• Capacity building: Cross-country collaboration
• Global collaboration in health economics – an African perspective
The participation is free of charge but a registration is mandatory. For further enquiries please contact Anri Jooste ()
