Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of Croatia (HALMED) is the Croatian national competent authority responsible for regulation of medicinal products, medical devices and homeopathic medicinal products. HALMED’s goal is to ensure the continued availability of effective, safe and quality products to patients and healthcare professionals alike. It aims to reduce and eliminate possible risks associated with the use of medicinal products and medical devices through promotion of effective and rational pharmacotherapy, as well as through monitoring adverse reactions, adverse incidents and quality defects.
In line with its role of protecting public health and patients’ safety, HALMED contributes to the European regulatory network through cooperation with all stakeholders at the national, European and global level.
